Betty Marion White was born in Oak Park, Illinois on January 17, 1922. She stated that Betty was her legal name and not a shortened version of Elizabeth. Christine Tess, a housewife & Horace Logan White were her parents. During the Great Depression, White’s family migrated to Alhambra, California & then to LA when she was just over a year old.
