Early Life
Frankel was born in New York City, United States, on November 4, 1970. Bernadette Birk, her mother, is an interior designer, and Robert Birk, her father, trains horses. Bethenny's dad left when she was four years old.
Frankel moved around a lot as a child because her stepfather and mother had a hard time getting along. She got out of Pine Crest School in 1988. After a year, her mom married John Parisella, a horse trainer.
Before she got her degree from New York University, she went to the Natural Gourmet Institute and Boston University. She got a degree in Psychology and Communications.

In 1992, she worked as a nanny for Paris Hilton and as Jerry and Linda Bruckheimer's assistant while also trying to get small acting roles. She also worked as an assistant on the NBC show Saved by the Bell.
