More about Bangkok and Thailand cinema

Are you new to the Bangkok/Thailand movies and TV/Web Series? This could be the case as the vast majority of Netflix is a Hollywood-preferring audience or Korean/Japanese anime watching audience. That’s not a problem as we have got this covered as well in this small section.

While they’re not as famous as other regional cinema, I must tell you they have produced some of the worth-watching movies like Tom Yum Goong, Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior and so on. In addition, a pretty famous actor who is from Thailand is Tony Jaa, widely known for his kung-fu and other fighting styled-movies.

Bangkok Breaking

Bangkok Breaking Overview

As part of a six-episode series, Wanchai, a newly-arrived Bangkok resident, must uncover a city-wide conspiracy with the help of a young upstart journalist.

The action, thriller and crime based series is directed by Kongkiat Khomsiri, who is also the series’ screenwriter! It has a total of 6 episodes, and as we have known from Netflix for ages, all 6 will be released in one go. Each episode consists of roughly an hour.

Bangkok Breaking Plot and Storyline

The six-episode series, which is set to premiere online next month, revolves around the main character, Wanchai (played by Sukollawat “Weir” Kanarot), who moves to Bangkok Metropolitan in search of big opportunities by working with an emergency rescue team—only to become entangled in dark big-city messes. Sushar “Aom” Manaying, a journalist youngblood with aspirations to tackle corruption, joins the cast alongside Thailand’s handsome heartthrob.

Why trust Bangkok Breaking director and risk your 6 hours on the show?

While many of you might not know him, he is quite a man in Thai cinema!
Known as “Thailand’s horror master, Kongkiat Khomsiri has directed (Art of the Devil 2 [2005] and Slice [2009]) and Prabda Yoon (Last Life in the Universe [2003]). Suppose you haven’t heard of these titles yet. In that case, you can check the user ratings right away. I am sure you will be amused and become interested in watching his upcoming masterpiece as well! He is the screenwriter for this action-thriller series. In addition, it’s the first local Netflix project to be shot entirely in HDR (high dynamic range), which ensures a stunning picture.
