Avatar 3 Release Date: After more than a decade, Avatar 2 is finally here, and like most movies by James Cameron, it's pretty good. In the science fiction movie, the Na'vi show us more of their world, Pandora. Jake Sully and Neytiri now have a family, but it's not so easy for them to settle down.
Kiri, played by Sigourney Weaver and now a teen Na'vi, joins them. In Avatar 2, we start to see how James Cameron's operatic plan for a series of five action movies will work. The ideas are, as you might expect, grand and majestic. Since we already have the second movie, when will Avatar 3 come out? Will we have to wait ten more years?
When Will Avatar 3 Be Released?
To cut a long tale short, Avatar 3 will be released in theatres on December 20, 2024, assuming no post-production delays. The threequel shifted every time the sequel did, resulting in a string of release date revisions.
However, because it was shot concurrently with the sequel, filming on Avatar 3 is now complete. Both films were shot between September 2017 and December 2020, however, there is still a lot of post-production work to be done on the third. Cameron appears to be convinced that we will receive it in December 2024.
Avatar 4 is scheduled to arrive on December 18, 2026, and Avatar 5 on December 22, 2028. The fourth picture, with the younger cast, has already begun filming, but there is still work to be done, and the fifth film has yet to begin production. However, a storyline for the fifth film has already been created.
What Will Be the Plot of Avatar 3?
Avatar 3 will most likely follow up where The Way of Water left off, with the threat of a full-scale human invasion of Pandora. Thankfully Jake and his family have been completely welcomed into the water tribe now, so they'll likely have allies in the impending fight.
Colonel Quaritch remains a threat, but did anyone else think they were setting up a redemption storyline for the antagonist? Finally, there's Lo'ak and Reya's growing romance.

What Will the Tittle of the Third Avatar Movie Be Called?
We don't know what Avatar 3 will be called for sure, but we might have a pretty good idea. Back in November 2018, BBC News said that the four sequels to Avatar would be called Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider, and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.

Cameron said in February 2019 that those titles were “under consideration,” and Avatar: The Way of Water did end up being the name of the sequel. So could the third movie be called Avatar: The Seed Bearer?
Is There a Trailer for Avatar 3?
Unfortunately, no. Despite having been filmed, we have yet to see any footage from Avatar 3, and unless Cameron has a surprise planned for the sequel's release, we may have to wait until 2024 to see anything. Until then, you can check the trailer for Season 2 below:
