Avatar 2 Review

Back in 2010, if you had said you didn't think there would be a sequel to Avatar, everyone would have laughed at you. The fantasy epic by James Cameron took the world by storm. It is still the most successful movie of all time.

When Avatar 2 was announced and said to come out in 2014, it seemed like a sure thing. But after 12 years and a lot of delays, no one is so sure. People have said many different things about why Avatar isn't as important as it used to be, like that it's lost its cultural value or that people aren't interested.

The unique 3D movie experience that Avatar made so appealing has died out. The fact that there will be a sequel has become a joke. But Cameron won't stop laughing all the way to the bank because of this.

The rumors that Avatar will become culturally irrelevant are not valid. It's pretty clear that it doesn't have the same impact as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, but it's still a sequel to a movie that almost everyone has seen.

The years of delays may have killed the franchise's momentum, but they have given the sequel a level of complete intrigue. This is made even worse because no one has been able to see a frame of what is now called Avatar: The Way of Water until now.

You know you're a one-of-a-kind director when you have two of the three highest-grossing movies. And what does everyone like? A good underdog story.

Now, I'll admit it's not as groundbreaking as the first Avatar. Since these sights are so familiar now, they don't seem so strange anymore.

This movie does an excellent job of keeping up with the characters and setting up the third movie.

But the problem is the story, which seemed to be going in a direction I wouldn't say I liked when I saw it for the first time. There were also parts of the story that didn't work.

Avatar 2 Review

TL;DR: Those who liked the first Avatar will also enjoy this one. You wouldn't like this Avatar if you didn't like the first one.

Avatar 2 Review
When can I buy Avatar: The Way of Water? It took a long time, but the second movie in the Avatar series will finally come out on December 16, 2022.

What's Taking So Long?

Why has it taken so long for Avatar 2? The movie has had many problems and setbacks, and it's been said that James Cameron had to wait for the right technology to film motion capture underwater.

Is Avatar 2 A Real Movie?

The filming for the sequel started in 2017, which isn't surprising since the movie is a mix of live-action and motion capture.

Cameron said in September 2020 that Avatar 2 was “100 percent done” and that Avatar 3 was about 95 percent done.

Why Is Avatar 2 Underwater?

Also, it looks like James Cameron insisted that Avatar 2 be filmed underwater (called “in-water capture”) to make the images look natural and authentic.
