Story for Avatar: The Way of Water

Avatar: The Way of Water is set 12 years after the first film on Pandora.

Jake Sully (Worthington) has resided on Pandora since transferring his human consciousness into his Avatar body and becoming the Na'vi commander. He and Neytiri (Saldana), a Na'vi, have kids.

Jake and Neytiri must evacuate Pandora since the RDA, and its mining operations have returned.

Lang will return as Colonel Miles Quaritch in this and future Avatar films, though it's unclear how.

Avatar: The Way of Water will center on Pandora's underwater life, where we'll meet the Metkayina.

The Metkayina live among Pandora's reefs and waters and are the second film's central community.

Cameron said the sequel(s) would be a logical continuation of the ideas, characters, and spiritual undercurrents.

If you liked the first movie, you'd probably like them, and vice versa. If you loved it then and loathed it later, you'll probably adore these.

What Is This Movie About?

We also received the first official summary for the sequel along with the title announcement, but it didn't add anything new to what we already knew

“Jake Sully resides with his newly established family on the planet of Pandora. Jake must cooperate with Neytiri and the Na'vi race's army to defend their world as a recurring threat returns to finish what it started. “It is read.

Set roughly 14 years after the events of Avatar, Sully is now the clan's leader and Neytiri its high priestess, albeit the story will primarily concern their offspring.

Producer Jon Landau said, “I believe the story of Avatar 2 and the strength of the story is what Jim [Cameron] always does in his movies: he writes in universal themes that are broader than any one genre.”

“There is no universal theme than family if you stop thinking about it. The Sully family is at the center of each of our sequels. What processes do parents go through to safeguard their family?”

Additionally, we are aware that, even though three sequels will be released after this one, each film will be an independent narrative. Landau said, “the trip through all four movies will build a connected saga.”

Jake will be forced to take his family to the “perceived safe harbor” at the reef where they encounter the Metkayina due to the RDA mining operation returning to Pandora.

Avatar 2's motion-capture scenes were shot underwater to convey the significance of water fully.

Avatar 2 Title: Say hello to Avatar The Way of Water

As previously indicated, Avatar 2 is called Avatar: The Way of Water.

Later, Cameron acknowledged that these were viable titles, and since the first one turned out to be accurate, perhaps they will also serve as the names of the subsequent three films.
