Army of Thieves: A Blend of More Than 3 Genre

Suppose I tell you that I have a movie in our bucket of movie collection that will satisfy your gratification of a heist movie, a comedy movie and a zombie movie. Yes, I am not joking; it is true such a movie really exists in this world. In today I will be talking about one of such movies, the name is “Army of Thieves“.

It is a forthcoming American-German romantic comedy-heist film involving zombies produced by Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder, Wesley Coller, Schweighöfer, and Dan Maag, directed by Matthias Schweighöfer, and written by Shay Hatten from an original plot co-authored by Snyder and Hatten.

It is not a surprise that it is a prequel to Army of Dead

A Snap Shot of Army of Thieves

The tale follows Ludwig Dieter in his early days of safecracking as a mystery woman recruits him to carry out a heist with the aid of a motley band of wannabe thieves six years before the events of the Army of the Dead, during the early stages of the zombie epidemic.

The characters from Army of the Dead will be followed in Army of Thieves before their daring theft in the Nevada desert. The action of the film will take place in the early stages of the viral epidemic that leads to the zombie apocalypse.

Netflix believes in Army of the Dead and its franchise potential, as evidenced by the fact that, in addition to the prequel feature, the streaming service is also developing an animated prequel series, the details of which are scant.

With the release of a new teaser for Army of the Dead, Snyder has officially announced the title of the next prequel picture during a Q&A after the video's release. Ludwig Dieter's history will be prominently included in the Army of Thieves.

The focus of the film, according to Snyder, will be on how Dieter came to enjoy cracking safes and how the safe in Army of the Dead is essential to the character.

Production Story of the Movie?

The film, dubbed Army of the Dead: The Prequel at the time, was revealed to be in development at Netflix in September 2020. Filming began in Germany in December 2020 and will conclude in December 2021.

Deborah Snyder refers to the film as Army of Thieves in a February 2021 interview. Tom Holkenborg, the composer for the original Army of the Dead, announced that he would be working on both the prequel and the animated series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas in the same month.

Zack Snyder revealed the official title in April 2021. Matthias Schweighöfer revealed on Twitter in August 2021 that Hans Zimmer and Steve Mazzaro will replace Holkenborg as composers for the picture.

The storey will revolve around Schweighöfer's character Ludwig Dieter, who will demonstrate how he learnt to open safes while working with prior heist teams. Despite the fact that the film isn't definitely a zombie picture, Schweighöfer suggested that the undead may emerge;[12] and Snyder stated that zombies would feature in the film.

Release Date

The release date of the Army of Thieves is out, as it is clear from the Tweet of Zack Snyder. The Tweet is given below; give it a read.
