Arknights: Prelude to Dawn: Plotline
Many natural disasters, the source of which is unknown, are occurring on the planet Terra. Terrans fled to mobile cities in order to avoid these disasters. Originium is a naturally occurring chemical in Terra that is left behind at the sites of natural calamities. The harnessing of Originium's tremendous amounts of energy has resulted in the rapid growth of civilization.
But the Originium's blessing comes with a curse: an incurable, infectious sickness known as Oripathy. At death, the bodies of persons infected with Oripathy solidify and become another source of infection. As a result, those infected with the sickness are shunned by society and the government and are subjected to forced labor and segregation.

Oppressed infected people have begun to fight back and rebel. During this period, a pharmaceutical company called Rhode Island began finding a cure for the disease, as well as taking up arms to save the globe and all of its inhabitants from the disease's grasp.
Recap of Arknights: Prelude To Dawn Episode 6
When the Doctor's squad brings Misha to the L.G.D and Ch'en in this episode, Ch'en decides to tell Misha everything. She informs Misha that Misha's father, Sergei, was Chernobog's leading scientist. The Reunion intends to capture her as a result, which is why the L.G.D. is placing her under their protection.
The L.G.D caravan is suddenly attacked by the Reunion, led by W, the explosives expert, and the Skullshatterer. W pulls Misha away while the Skullshatterer engages in combat with the Doctor's troops to keep them occupied. Tallulah, Ch'en's half-sister, attacks the L.G.D headquarters.

Ch'en reveals Misha's importance to the L.G.D. and the Reunion to Amiya, while the operators of Rhode Island assist the L.G.D. in fighting the Reunion.
