Shekinah and Sarper decided to take a big step in their relationship after only a year of dating by having the aesthetician relocate to Turkey. “My attraction and connection with Sarper is so strong that I'm willing to leave this entire life that I've built in Los Angeles to go and be with him,” she said.
Friends and family warn Shekinah that Sarper is a playboy and that she is repeating a pattern of falling for a handsome man despite red signals, but Shekinah thinks that this time is different.
Shekinah sought to set ground rules for Sarper after he was away, but he resisted her attempts to control him. The more time they spend together, the more unexpected revelations are revealed, prompting the two lovers to wonder how well they truly know each other.
During the September 18 episode, the pair got into a disagreement after Sarper failed to replace a mattress he'd used for 12 years. “That is still your old bed,” Shekinah grumbled. “Before I came here, I said please get a new bed, because I don't want to sleep in a bed that other women have slept in.”
She went on to say, “About a month before I moved to Turkey, Sarper told me that he had been with about 2,500 women, and I thought it was a typo.” “I'd never heard of somebody being with that many people before. I really despise the mental image of wondering what led the headboard to appear to be what it does.”
Later, in a confessional, she lamented, “Clearly he doesn't take it seriously when I tell him to do something, so he's gonna find out now.” And if he wants to sleep in his filthy bed, he can. He can also join me on the couch. I don't mind. But all I know is that I'm not going to sleep on that bed, and we need to acquire a new one as quickly as possible.”
How Did Shekinah and Sarper Meet?
When Shekinah and Sarper made their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premiere on August 28, she shared how her romance with Sarper began.
“I went to Turkey last year with a girlfriend,” Shekinah said. “I downloaded a dating app to see what Turkish men are like.”
After matching with Sarper, the pair went for a date and hit it off right away. Shekinah expressed her appreciation for the model's extra effort in his appearance in order to please her.
“You know how they say, ‘You had me at hello?' “It all started with the highlighter,” Sarper said. “On our first date, he was wearing a highlighter. And I observed it down the bridge of his nose, and I thought to myself, ‘This man is wearing makeup. On a date with me, he's wearing makeup. That is adorable!”
“He is just everything I've been looking for,” she continued. He's lovely, thoughtful, and truly caring, and our sexual life is out of this world. It's completely ridiculous.”

Despite having friends and a profession in Los Angeles, Shekinah made an attempt to prolong their relationship by returning to Turkey two months after her first trip.
