Reality shows like “Temptation Island” often create a buzz around the couples involved, and fans eagerly follow the journeys of the participants as they navigate challenges and temptations to test the strength of their relationships.
In Season 5 of Temptation Island, one couple, Kaitlin and Hall, seems out of place among the other couples, all of whom have been together for less than two years.
Kaitlin and Hall have not only been dating for eight years but they are also engaged. This event has the potential to either make or break them, so are Kaitlin and Hall still together after Temptation Island?
Are Kaitlin and Hall Still Together?
No, they called off their engagement after eight years together, leaving her in “total shock,” according to a Life & Style interview. Hall, on the other hand, chose to pursue a connection with Makayla Halstead.
“When he first entered the villa, I honestly thought he was there to say, ‘I'm done with this.'” Let's head home. Let's tie the knot tomorrow. “And then, as he got closer, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I've seen this face before,'” she said.
“I honestly believe I blacked out for a second because I was like, I have no idea what he was saying, like watching it back.” I'm starting to understand what he was saying. I was so astonished that I thought, ‘This can't be happening for the second time.'”
The first engaged couple to visit Temptation Island were Kaitlin and Hall from Charleston, South Carolina. They've been together for eight years, and while Hall proposed, Kaitlin has yet to select a wedding date. She's hesitant because Hall ended the relationship three years ago because he was afraid of commitment.
Since then, they've made significant progress, including the purchase of a home together. They appear to be in two different stages of their lives, and the weight of their past continues to haunt them.
Hall is eager to settle down and raise a family, but Kaitlin wants to create a business and settle into life in Charleston. Kaitlin and Hall are on the island trying to figure out how to proceed.
Kaitlin seeks to figure out where the disconnect is. Hall believes that the event will inspire Kaitlin to consummate their engagement and walk down the aisle.
Does Hall Cheat on Kaitlin?
The season-opening suggests that Hall may have a wandering eye. When he passes Kaitlin with one of the ladies, he hardly looks at her as he is helplessly (and we use that term very loosely) carried away.
He doesn't go so far as to kiss Makayla until he formally breaks things off with Kaitlin on the show.
Hall was a tremendous flirt before they got together, according to Kaitlin on the show. And her failure to genuinely commit, combined with her absence when they're separated this season, puts Hall in some difficult positions.
We were not expecting Hall's message to Kaitlin. It's fairly flat and arid. Hall tells Kaitlin that he admires her strength and beauty and that he has found true happiness in himself. Makayla then appears, having left a message for Kaitlin.
Makayla, unlike Hall, does not hold back. You could even agree that she goes too far. Makayla expresses gratitude to Kaitlin for bringing Hall to the island because he is her soulmate. The audacity!

Kaitlin's message to Hall was full of love and hope, which, in my perspective, isn't too surprising. Kaitlin, unlike everyone else on the show, has been on her best behavior.
Kaitlin tells Hall that she loves him and is wounded by Hall's questions about their relationship. She admits that she will never be able to forgive him again, but she remains hopeful.
