Reality television has a way of captivating audiences with the dramatic highs and lows of relationships, and “90 Day: The Last Resort” is no exception.
The show, which follows couples as they navigate the complexities of international relationships, introduced viewers to Ed Brown, also known as “Big Ed,” and his girlfriend, Liz Woods.
The question on everyone's mind is whether this couple is still together after their turbulent journey on the show. In this article, we'll delve into the world of Ed and Liz to uncover the status of their relationship.
Who Is Big Ed?
Born as Edward Allen Brown in San Diego, California on April 28, 1965. He is an American reality television celebrity most known for his work on “90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days.”
His debut appearance was in 2020, and fans soon embraced his colorful and somewhat dishonest nature.
Big Ed appeared in another spin-off in 2021, this time in the show “90 Day: The Single Life.” He met Liz Woods on the show and they began dating.
Their romance, however, had a difficult start with a breakup in season one. Season two of “Single Life” saw them resume their romance, and Big Ed announced in November 2021 that he had proposed to Woods, to which she said yes. After several breakups, the couple married in August 2023.
Big Ed was married to Sandra Heckman for a short time before their divorce in 1992. Tiffany Brown, their 29-year-old daughter, is their only child. Big Ed remains in the spotlight, and we are confident that his future initiatives will be nothing short of outstanding.
How Did 90 Day Fiance’s Big Ed and Liz Meet?
Ed met Liz while working as a manager at his favorite neighborhood restaurant in San Diego.
Liz is a single mother with a little girl who became acquainted with Ed at first. Ed summoned the nerve to ask Liz out on a date after consulting with a dating coach during the season 1 premiere.
Are Ed and Liz Still Together?
Ed and Liz had multiple highs and lows after meeting on 90 Day: The Single Life and started a relationship. They moved in together and were engaged, but they've also had a dozen breakups.
Ed and Liz's trip hasn't been easy, with trust concerns and competing goals—but they're not ready to give up.
“I don't think we actually know the count anymore, to be honest,” the reality star said to E! News. But, as she put it, “I have enough diamonds to make up for every breakup.”
Liz stated that she was “still wearing a ring,” whereas Ed stated cryptically, “I don't have a ring yet.” He's still writing about her on Instagram as of late August 2023, and they're still following each other, so we can presume they're still dating.
Liz and Ed discussed their relationship on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast, part one of which was published on August 21, 2023, and why Liz had another engagement ring.
They also addressed the subject of why they keep reuniting, with both agreeing that “we're never ready to leave each other at the same time,” Ed stated. “When you're ready to leave each other at the same time, then it's over.”
While Ed appears to be on good terms with Liz, he does not appear to be on good terms with his 90-day castmate Loren, who has publicly acknowledged that she dislikes him.
Loren and her husband, Alexei, recently appeared on Vanderpump Rules alums Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's podcast, When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany, and were asked who their least favorite 90 Day Fiancé couples are, and Loren didn't hold back: “I loathe, loathe him,” she said. “He's insecure, but not simultaneously. I'm just not a fan, and I think everyone knows that.”
In response, Ed told ET that Loren's remarks had disappointed him. “You know, when I first read it and Liz and I talked about it, it kind of hurt my feelings,” he told me.
“And this is why. We've made it to the other side. There is, after all, a reality. I don't like to refer to myself as a celebrity. But we're on TV, and we receive enough flak from people who have no idea who we are.
So I was offended because she didn't know who I was. And for her to say that without knowing me puts her in a lower class, like a bottom feeder online who creates a bogus account to tell you to eff yourself.”
Liz, on the other hand, stood by her partner. “I know Ed's heart,” she explained. “And he truly has a huge, huge heart.” I don't care what other people think. I dislike reading. I rarely read the comments.
People come back to watch us for a purpose, you know. When it comes to Loren, Ed is correct. She has never met him. She should have known better. She, too, experiences blowback.

Liz discussed what they've learned after 12 or so breakups in an interview with E!. “What has made this round the best round that we've ever had was the therapy that we had,” Elizabeth remarked.
“We learned how to work on ourselves individually and collectively, how to become friends, and how to work as partners together.” So we have a lot of assistance with it.”
“We had a lot of growth individually,” Liz remarked at the premiere party for the 10th season of 90 Day Fiancé on September 26, 2023. “If you can't grow individually or love yourself as a person, you can't bring that into a relationship.”
