When Did Colt and Vanessa Start Dating?
Colt and his now-ex-wife Larissa Dos Santos Lima first appeared on a TLC series during season 6 of the flagship show 90 Day Fiancé. Season 4 of the TLC spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? chronicled the events surrounding their breakup. Larissa and Colt's divorce was finalized in April 2019, and they both returned for Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? to share their experiences getting back into the dating world.
Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? marked Vanessa's first appearance on the show as a supporting character in the storyline involving Colt and his ex-girlfriend Jess Caroline. As Jess accused Colt of cheating with Vanessa, their breakup was shown on television.
On the first season of the Discovery+ spinoff 90 Days, The Single Life, they first appeared together. Colt first appeared on the show as a single guy trying to get back into the dating scene. Colt went speed dating and went on another date before realizing that Vanessa was the only lady he wanted to spend his life with.
As she had recently gone through a divorce from her first husband, and since she knew Colt had cheated on Jess with her, Vanessa was apprehensive to start a relationship with Colt. Vanessa was first hesitant to become Colt's girlfriend, but she came around in the end.
When Did Colt & Vanessa Get Married?
In a short amount of time, the Las Vegas native took his relationship with Vanessa to the next level. On their vacation together, Colt proposed to Vanessa while they were on the ground.
Colt said that he and Vanessa eloped when they came back for the season 1 tell-all. In Touch confirmed that Colt and Vanessa tied the knot in Reno, Nevada, in February 2021. Colt and Vanessa returned in the second season premiere of 90 Days: The Single Life in November 2021 as a plot point for Colt's mom and Vanessa's mother-in-law.
When Debbie's husband and Colt's father. But, Debbie's intervention in Colt and Vanessa's marriage was the focus of the season 2 tell-all when Colt and Vanessa admitted they were living apart.
On the January 2022 TLC special, Vanessa revealed that she had left her boyfriend and moved out. The woman said Debbie “depends” on her son and is always attempting to make decisions for him.
Adding on, “I'm bored of living under her roof,” Vanessa said of Debbie, who had been housing the couple for the duration of their relationship. When asked if she would return to the house if Debbie weren't there, Vanessa said that she didn't sign up for a “part-time” husband.
Are Colt and Vanessa Still Together?
It would appear that Vanessa and Colt's marriage is flourishing despite their separation. Colt and Vanessa provided an update on their romance on an episode of 90 Day: Diaries that aired in May 2022.
Given that Vanessa said, “We've been married about 10 months already,” placing the video's filming around December 2021, it is safe to assume that they are both in their early twenties. It's been a full 30 days since I've been staying at my cousin's house.
In response to a question, Colt explained that after spending the day with his mom, he goes home to spend the night with his wife. Colt admitted to “coddling” his mother and “taking advantage” of his wife's patience, as well as saying he hadn't put “his best foot forward” in his marriage to Vanessa.
Vanessa claimed that Debbie “interfered” too much in their relationship by constantly hovering over her and offering criticism while she did mundane tasks like making breakfast. Vanessa stated that she had greater “freedom” at her cousin's place.
In her own words, she and Colt “never talked” about the realities of marriage before they tied the knot. Colt had no intention of leaving Debbie's house for a new place of their own, contrary to her hopes.
If she could do it over, she said, “I would probably fully discuss our future before getting married.” In July 2022, Vanessa shared with fans that she & Colt's father were relocating to Nevada's capital city of Reno, with the caveat that Colt's mother might or might not join them.
The former 90-Day Fiancé contestant elaborated on the current status of her relationship with Colt. She said, “It's had its ups & downs, but overall we're pleased,” in response to a fan's inquiry about marriage & went on to describe the ways in which her current union is distinct from her first.
In retrospect, I don't think my ex & I was ever close friends. In terms of appearance, I was more appealing. Nothing was exchanged between us. did not interact with one another verbally or nonverbally. only two very different expectations from a romantic partner.
