AD, whose real name is Amber Smith, and Clay Gravesande became engaged during Season 6 of Love Is Blind. When they first met in person, they were both ecstatic about each other's attractiveness, and their physical chemistry was unmistakable.
However, public records in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, indicate that AD and Clay did not marry. They began the marriage application process in early May 2023, but there is no date set for their actual wedding.
That said, it's likely that they either split up before the wedding or, as we frequently see on Love Is Blind, made it to the altar but no one said “I do.”
Why did Clay and AD Break Up?
It's unknown what caused Clay and AD to break up, although, during their engagement trip to Punta Canta, he made repeated comments regarding AD's diet that bothered her.
While sipping on some fruity smoked drinks, she told Clay that she usually limits her sugar intake since she doesn't want to waste “pointless calories.”
Clay stated that he does not monitor calories, to which AD replied, “Well, men and women are different.” Clay did not appear to agree with that or AD's assertion that she had a great body because she worked hard. He responded to AD by asserting that she would still have a good body if she didn't follow such a tight diet.
Clay then assured AD that he would never let her become upset, to which she replied, “Yeah, but what if I do?”
He confidently said, “I'd tell you. I was like, “AD, get in that motherf—–g gym.” AD was shocked by her future husband's “mean” statements.
She went on to say that if she ever became pregnant, she would gain weight in the hopes that he would understand the additional challenges women experience with their bodies, to which he replied, “Yeah, and I would be in the gym with you every day. Trust me. “Getting you right.”

AD stated to him that she had previously undergone rigorous training as a cheerleader for high-profile sports teams such as the New England Patriots. However, she did not expect such treatment from the man she was about to marry.
Fortunately, their fight appeared to be addressed before they left the bar, with Clay vowing to be friendlier and improve his delivery, but we have yet to see how the remainder of their vacation went. Maybe there would be difficulties in paradise.
