Antonio Brown was born in July 1988 in Miami, Florida, to parents who were both teachers. He was a wide receiver and punt returner at Miami Norland High School, where he played football. Central Michigan University was the site of Brown's college football career, when he was a two-time first-team All-American and twice named the MAC Special Teams Player of the Year.
Career in the National Football League
Brown was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and he has spent his whole professional career with the team. Over the course of his NFL career, he has won an AFC Championship in 2010 and has been selected to four Pro Bowls as well as two First-Team All-Pro selections. Brown was voted the AFC Offensive Co-Player of the Year in 2014, and he finished the season as the NFL's leading receiver in receiving yards.
In 2014 and 2015, he was the NFL's leading receiver in receptions, and in 2014, he was the AFC's leading receiver in receiving touchdowns. With over 1,000 yards returning and receiving in a single season, Brown is the first NFL athlete to accomplish this feat. He is also the first NFL player to have at least five catches and 50 receiving yards in each of his first 35 games. He also holds the distinction of being the first NFL player to have two seasons in which he had at least 125 receptions. His receiving yards totaled at least 5,000 during a three-year period, making him one of only two players, along with Calvin Johnson, to accomplish this feat.
From 2010 through 2018, Antonio was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster.
In 2019, he spent a brief period of time as a member of the Oakland Raiders. His time with the Raiders came to an end before the season began, and he was hit with fines totaling $215,000 as a result of altercations with the team's general manager.
On the same day he was released from the Raiders, September 9, he signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots, which became effective immediately. He participated in Patriots practise and was expected to make his NFL debut in Week 2 of the season. Antonio was released from the Patriots on September 20 following allegations of sexual assault against him.

Antonio hinted that he would consider retiring from the NFL during the 2020 offseason. Due to infractions of the NFL's personal conduct rules, he was ultimately suspended for the first eight weeks of the 2020 regular season.
Antonio inked a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October of 2020, which will expire in 2020. In granting Antonio the opportunity, it is believed that his old New England teammate, Tom Brady, who had recently joined the Buccaneers, played an important role. Antonio was previously coached by Bruce Arians, who is now the coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Buccaneers went on to win the Super Bowl on February 7, 2021, against the New England Patriots.
Antonio ran off the field in the middle of the third quarter of Week 17 of the 2021 season, after removing his jersey, shoulder pads, and shirt. It was the 17th week of the season. He was afterwards released from his position on the team.

Antonio Brown has earned a total of $77 million over his NFL career. During his first three years with the Steelers, he was paid a total of $1.288. Following that, he made $450,000 in his sophomore year after earning $393,000 in his rookie year. Antonio signed a five-year, $42 million contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, as he prepared to enter his third NFL season. The pact increased his earnings for the year to $9 million. His career profits should have easily surpassed $100 million if he had not been involved in many problems.
