American Underdog: The Plot

Read this wonderful reply by Kurt, “I have heard several people over the years I have played telling me that they are feeling truly inspired by my story, by my rise. So, I thought that's why this is so cool,” to the question “why you think this should be made into a movie?”

Levi, who is playing the role of Kurt in this movie long before he signed up for the movie, knew about Kurt's success story. Levi said, “Everybody knew the story, he was a simple stock boy at a grocery store, then he went to play Arena football and then got in the NFL not only that also wins the Superbowl”. Levi said, adding to this that “We are all in some journey of our life. I think that's relatable”.

Kurt shared a new video on Twitter with the quote “Destiny belongs to the Underdog”, which was originally said by Kurt's coach Dick Vermeil; the coach's role is taken up by Dennis Quaid in the movie.

The remarkable real tale of Kurt Warner (Zachary Levi), who went from stacking shelves at a supermarket to becoming a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback, is told in the film American Underdog. The film follows Warner's unique story and the years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his dreams of becoming an NFL player.

Warner perseveres and finds the fortitude to show the world the champion that he already is within with the aid of his wife, Brenda (Anna Paquin), and the encouragement of his family when his ambitions looked all but out of reach. ‘American Underdog' is a motivational narrative that shows that everything is possible if you believe in yourself.
