How it All Began for Julia Garner
Julia made her debut with the film, Marth Marcy May Marlene, a psychological thriller film, and played the role of Sarah. In 2012, she had a cameo role in Fading Away. But it was Electrik Children in the same year when her skills overshined like luster.
She then started bagging roles and starred in The Last Exorcism Part II and was the lead actress in the American version of the horror film, We Are Who We Are, in 2013 respectively. She continued acting for TV productions and remained part of The American, an FX period spy thriller series from the third to the sixth season.
In 2017, Julia starred as Ruth Langmore in Ozark, alongside Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. This role gained her critical acclaim, she became a recipient of three Primetime Emmy awards for her role in the drama series. While she was excellent in all the roles she did, through this show, she proved her mettle in acting, in a way.
It was in 2018, she made an appearance on Netflix with another show, Maniac. She played the role of Ellie and played the sister of Emma Stone’s character. Yet another feather in her cap!
