Early life and Education
In Fairview Park, Ohio, Grant was born and raised. While her father was a Scottish professor of geology, her mother was an American professor of political science, a diplomat, and an educational administrator who lived and worked in Africa and the Middle East.

Professional Career
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, California, hosted Grant’s first solo show as a visual artist in 2007.
