A teen spy drama Alex Rider is back for a second season on Amazon Prime, and it looks like it'll be nonstop action. The second series' trailer has been revealed, and it promises a lot of twists and turns. Eleventh Hour Films and Sony Pictures Television collaborated on the programme, which is the second screen adaptation of the novels after the 2006 feature film adaptation of the first novel, Stormbreaker.
Alex is transported to the hospital by the truck driver, who reports the incident to Dr. Greif and Eva. Eva goes to the hospital to ensure Alex's death, but MI6 posing as a doctor fakes Alex's death. Alex persuades Mrs. Jones and Wolf, as well as the rest of the Department's crew, to assist him in rescuing the other pupils. Back in London, Blunt and Smithers discover that “Parker” is a clone of Dr. Greif who has had significant surgery and bone restructuring to mimic the genuine Parker's appearance and voice.
To persuade Dr. Greif that Tom has been removed, they utilise a voiceprint of Parker's modulated voice. MI6 raid the academy, seize the clones, and pacify the guards. Alex is tricked into a trap with Eva by the Kyra clone, but manages to kill her in a laboratory explosion. Wolf and his squad track down Kyra, the true Kyra, who has set the other students free. Dr. Greif is apprehended (but refuses to cooperate), the clones are imprisoned, and Alex returns to his family. However, Alex's clone impostor reappears at an unoccupied Point Blanc.
Clone Alex flies to London in search of vengeance against Alex. Kyra, meanwhile, discovers that her parents have died and flees the Department's safehouse. She pays a visit to Alex's school, where they discuss Point Blanc before separating. Clone Alex executes his plan, destroying Alex's connections with Tom and a girl called Ayisha. Meanwhile, Yassen assassinates Dr. Greif in order to conceal his actual employers.
Alex tells Mrs Jones about his meeting with a man with a scar, still worried by his previous experience and damaged bond with Tom. Mrs. Jones discovers that Yassen Gregorovitch, who was supposed to be dead by the Department, is still alive and that SCORPIA, a terrorist organisation, has emerged from hiding.
One of Dr Greif's seventh clones is also missing, according to the Department. Clone Alex beats up and apprehends Tom at the school prom, demanding that Alex meet with him. As the Department comes, Alex confronts his Clone doppelganger on school grounds. Tom subdues the Clone Alex, who is apprehended by the Department but manages to escape. The Clone impostor is assassinated by Yassen, sparing Alex's life. Blunt seemed to have other ideas for Alex than returning to a regular life.
What Do We Know About Alex Rider Season 2
Season 2 will begin following the conclusion of the first season. The next season will be based on Eagle Strike, the fourth book in the Alex Rider novel series, according to the creators. If the novel's information is to be believed, Alex's administrations will be required to prevent Damian Cray from gaining access to the US military's nuclear codes in season 2. We should expect Alex to remove any obstacles in the way of Cray's brilliant plan to stop the pharmaceutical trade by launching atomic missiles at drug-delivery nations.
Eleventh Hour Films has optioned the film rights to Horowitz's Alex Rider series and will develop the series for ITV, according to Variety in May 2017. Guy Burt was tapped to serve as the showrunner. Andreas Prochaska and Christopher Smith are the series' directors.
