Acapulco Season 3: Release Date
As we already knew, there is no official confirmation from the creators that the third season will be made. So, we don’t know when it will come out. Still, if production goes on until June, the third season will probably start on Apple TV at the beginning of 2023.
In the style of How I Met Your Mother, the older Máximo (Eugenio Derbez) tells his nephew Hugo how he went from being poor to rich (Raphael Alejandro). In the first season, we saw Máximo (Enrique Arrizon), with the help of Don Pablo Bonilla (Damián Alcázar) and Memo (Fernando Carsa), get a job at the resort and do well by the pool.
Máximo had a chance at a teenage romance with Julia, a popular front desk worker played by Camila Perez. However, when Julia agreed to marry Chad, the son of the resort’s owner, Diane Davies, played by Jessica Collins, Máximo was crushed.
The second season starts with an older Máximo and Hugo going to a memorial service for Don Pablo. Máximo starts his story by talking about what happened in 1985, which was a big year for him personally and professionally.
At the beginning of the year, Máximo is trying to deal with Julia and Chad’s engagement and his new job. 1985 is a year of second chances at Las Colinas: Máximo loses his job, gets it back, and finds comfort with a friend.
Nora (Vanessa Bauche) gets a second chance at love and comes to terms with her daughter’s sexuality; Don Pablo tries spending more time on his personal life, only to realize he feels at home at the resort and gives it a second chance; and Chad takes a chance on himself and goes into uncharted territory.
