About “How It Ends”: Release Date | Two Liza | Reviews

Have you ever sit among your peers to discuss what you will do on your last day on earth? I am not sure about you, but I have done this with my friends, and we got hilarious answers. Taking it to the next level is the movie “How It Ends”. The film becomes more interesting with the fact that the protagonist has made all the decisions wrong, creating havoc in her life.

About “How It Ends?”

Liza is the focus of the film (Zoe Lister-Jones, who also co-wrote and co-directed the film with Daryl Wein). She confronts the end of her life with money in the bank after creating a hugely successful app, memories of a string of failed romances. The persistent presence of her adolescent self (Cailee Spaeny), who is trying to protect her from repeating the mistakes that have ruined her life thus far.

The premise is that, whereas such younger selves are typically only seen by their elder counterparts, the dynamic of existence's final day has made them appear to everybody.

Liza's only true intention for her final day is to attend an apocalyptic party hosted by a friend (Whitney Cummings), who claims that “Pauly Shore's coming”—possibly to make her guests feel better about their approaching doom.

With the advice of her younger self, she eventually decides to spend the day leading up to the party seeking particular individuals from her past in the hopes of finally reuniting with them.

Lizas' plan becomes somewhat more complex when her car is stolen, requiring them to make their rounds on foot. (Unfortunately, there isn't a scene when they try to book an Uber).

This may be a huge nuisance for them, but it does provide them with the opportunity to meet a variety of interesting people along the route.
