NEW HORROR MOVIE WITH A SPIDER-MAN THEME The FRANCHISE brand is making the transition to video games.
This announcement follows in the footsteps of other horror franchises such as Friday the 13th and World War Z, with the developer of the upcoming Evil Dead: The Game announcing that it will be producing and publishing a game based on John Krasinski's A Quiet Place film series.
A Quiet Place is a relatively new yet extremely popular horror series that takes place in a world where humans are not allowed to make sounds.
If they do, they will be hunted down and slaughtered by alien beings with horrific-looking features. They're blind, but they have hyper-acute hearing, which makes for a whole different kind of horror than you're used to.
This project appears to have a lot of potential because the premise appears to be one that would convert well into a video game.
While we haven't seen any gameplay yet, Saber Interactive has already teased us with a few hints as to what we might anticipate in the near future. This is everything we know so far about the upcoming video game A Quiet Place: The Darkness Within.
A Quiet Place Game Release Date
Despite the fact that we have yet to witness the game in action, its website already specifies a release date of 2022, which appears to be a frighteningly close date.
Although a debut date earlier in the year would be preferable, an October 2022 start date would be appropriate. Saber Interactive has not announced which platforms this game will be available on at this point in time.

Who are the developers behind A Quiet Place Game?
It is being released by Saber Interactive, a subsidiary of the Embracer Group, which also owns publishers such as THQ Nordic, Prime Matter, and Deep Silver. The game is based on the novel A Quiet Place.
“A Quiet Place” is “the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label,” according to Todd Hollenshead, Saber Interactive's Head of Publishing. “We are excited to be able to bring this game to you.”
In contrast to its World War Z and Evil Dead titles, Saber is not in charge of the production of this title.
Instead, development responsibilities have been delegated to iLLOGIKA, the studio responsible for the critically acclaimed game Subaeria, as well as a new narrative-focused studio known as EP1T0ME.
A Quiet Place is unquestionably the most significant project either of those teams has ever undertaken, and they have a lot to prove with it.
Story
If you were hoping that John Krasinski or Emily Blunt would appear as the major characters in this game, you're going to be disappointed.
According to the press release announcing the project, it would have an original plot that will be distinct from the films.
Because we've only seen a small portion of A Quiet Place's world in the two films that have already been released, there is plenty of room for the franchise's developers to tell their own stories and further develop the world of the franchise.
When Can We Hear More Updates Regarding A Quiet Place Game?
More information about the game is expected to be released later in 2021, according to the press statement announcing the release. It is currently unclear whether this announcement will be made on its own or as part of a larger gaming event.
Don't be surprised if the video game A Quiet Place appears at The Game Awards, especially given the fact that Evil Dead: The Game was extensively featured at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest Kickoff earlier in the year.
