The release of a stable Workstation connector for the game in 2014 sparked speculation among developers that they were working on an unapproved High Definition proposal. The primary goal was to rework Resident Evil 4's Nintendo Video gameplay console animations, which necessitated a significant increase in investment and took a significant amount of time (evidently).
