What can be a better dose of happiness than watching an amazing movie like “ Clueless ” for you? If you are looking for a comedy genre movie to watch this weekend, then here is what I suggest. This movie has a blend of comedy plus teenage drama, making it a great one to watch.
Amy Heckerling wrote and directed Clueless, a 1995 American coming-of-age adolescent comedy film. Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd feature in the film. Scott Rudin and Robert Lawrence produced it.
With a modern-day setting of Beverly Hills, it is largely based on Jane Austen's 1815 classic Emma.
Clueless was shot during a 40-day period in California. The director of the film researched genuine Beverly Hills high school kids to learn how real teenagers spoke in the 1990s and to pick up some acceptable slang phrases.
This is how a genuine movie is made, am I right?
It was a box office smash, grossing $56 million worldwide, but its effect extended beyond the big screen. The film tapped into a desire for sophisticated material geared at teens–something Jane Austen had mastered– and provided an exaggerated but not inaccurate portrayal of teenagers, which audiences couldn't help but enjoy.

What is Clueless all About?
Cher Horowitz lives in a Beverly Hills home with her affluent father Mel, a stern lawyer; her mother died when she was a baby during liposuction surgery. Cher is beautiful, fashionable, sweet, and well-liked.
She goes to Bronson Alcott High School with her rich and attractive best friend Dionne Davenport. Murray Duvall, a prominent student, has been Dionne's boyfriend for a long time. Cher says that Dionne should be dating more older men and that this is a fruitless attempt for her.
Cher's ex-step brother Josh, who is socially aware, pays her a visit on a break from college. He taunts her for being selfish, egotistical, and superficial, claiming her main goal in life is “toward the mall,” while she mocks his idealism.
Cher resolves to play matchmaker for two hard-grading professors at her school, Mr. Hall and Miss Geist, after earning low marks. She sets up a relationship between the two instructors in order to get them to lower their grading standards so she may renegotiate a poor score on her report card.
That is a typical Teenage drama, and till now, I am sure you are enjoying reading it.
Cher discovers that she likes doing nice actions after witnessing their increased happiness. She then resolves to help the community by “adopting” Tai Frasier, a “tragically unhip” new girl at school.
Tai gets a makeover from Cher and Dionne, which gives her confidence and a sense of style. Cher tries to break up Tai's interest in Travis Birkenstock, an amicable but clumsy slacker, by directing her to Elton, a gorgeous and popular student. Elton, on the other hand, is uninterested in Tai and instead tries to kiss Cher in his car, but she rejects him.
Now I would not tell you further because, what will you watch then, right? So let’s jump to know some interesting things about clueless.
