“Strangely, the same thing that Ty and I sought in getting together is the very thing that we seek in splitting. In that regard, we are alike. As individuals and as a pair, we were tragically and clearly stifled, and we hope to rediscover our potential by releasing one another,” Jewel wrote.
We are taking this huge, painful step toward divorce because we are convinced that our happiness will be enhanced by our separation. The final paragraph of the piece was her standard joint statement with Murray & a declaration of support for couples experiencing marital troubles.
Our love for our son is undying, and we will always work together for his best interests. Ty and Jewel concluded, “We are certain that our separation will be amicable, and that we will continue to hold each other in the highest regard as friends and co-parents.
