For the life of me, I just don't get it. Suddenly, a K-drama that seemed like a standard romance has become something else entirely. In this article. we will discuss The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 12 Recap & Review in detail.

The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 12 Recap

Su-yeong checks into a hotel room with Sang-su and shares a bed with him. Mi-gyeong and Gyeong-pil had a meeting during which Gyeong-pil challenges Mi-gyeong about dating Sang-su despite her knowledge of his relationship with Su-yeong. Mi-gyeong explains that she ignored it on purpose to keep their love safe.

Mi-gyeong feels ill again in the car with Sang-su after he tells her he has affection for someone else. She explains to him that he can't be heartbroken because he fell out of love with her because he never loved her to begin with. She brings up the vow he made to give it his best shot. After telling him to start over, she walks away.

Mr. Jeong, meantime, probes Su-yeong about whether she cares about him out of love or pity. Instead of responding to him, she queries him whether love is the only emotion he feels toward her. After receiving a message from Sang-su, Su-yeong decides to meet with him in person and rings him up.

The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 12 Recap & Review

If Su-yeong needs Mr. Yuk's stamp of approval on something, he shows up at the office. Mi-gyeong tells her a falsehood, saying that he spent the night before with Sang-su when in reality he didn't. Simultaneously, Seok-Hyeon is yelled at and suspended by Mr. Yuk for damaging the bank's name with his scandal. Mi-gyeong makes a statement about how banks are conservative and how easily a scandal may derail your career.

Seok-Hyeon passed up a promotion opportunity in favor of an affair he later came to deeply regret. The rest of Su-day yeong's at work is spent with her mind elsewhere. When asked by his coworkers why he risked his job and reputation, Seok-Hyeon explains that he didn't want to lose his beloved or feel regret. Mi-gyeong tells Sang-su that she has previously answered his question about why they broke up.

Sang-su implores her to see that their romance has already ended. He could care less if he turns out to be just like Seok-Hyeon. Mi-gyeong then asks him whether he is good with Su-yeong getting hurt, considering how people have been talking about Seok-hyeon’s boyfriend, and Sang-su asks her if she is okay with a man who does not have feelings for her. Mi-gyeong is considering her options since she cannot bear the thought of ending their relationship.

Once more, Mi-gyeong presses him on whether or not Su-yeong would dump Mr. Jeong for him. She leaves with the warning that she will no longer be a good person and will instead do whatever to achieve the affection she believes she is due. Mr. Jeong is on the hunt for a new residence, while Su-yeong is struggling to reconcile her divergent feelings. She overhears Sang-coworker su's warning him about the consequences of angering Mi-family.

Su-subbranch yeong's visit from Mi-gyeong includes the news that she confided in Sang-su about Mr. Jeong's living arrangements with her. She goes on to say that she will keep liking her because she hopes that Su-yeong will always regret hurting someone who cares about her. Without revealing her identity, Gyeong-pil informs Su-yeong about his girlfriend Mi-gyeong. Her family disapproved of him, he tells her, so she was his first love.

Su-yeong tells him that she used to build sand castles when she was a kid, but that she would always be so worried that someone would demolish them that she would end up doing it herself. When she tries to destroy the one she has built, he stops her, indicating that it might stay here for a long time.

Before he can go back to her, she sends him to the kitchen for a drink and then leaves. She visits her dad at the restaurant the two of them own and demands to know why he cheated on her mom. Once you've given your heart to someone, he assures her, you can never give it up.

However, no one would make the choice of cheating on someone if they realized how much they would have to suffer later. After telling her he can't help her even now, Su-yeong leaves. She makes a phone call and asks someone to meet her after Sang-su sends her a picture of her sand castle, which is still standing on the beach.

The following day, she avoids Sang-su at work. A furious Mr. Jeong walks in and yells at her in front of all the employees. He asks her if that is true, and she responds he already knows the answer to that. He then punches Gyeong-pil in the face. He asks Sang-su, who tries to stop him, if he, too, had sex with Su-yeong, causing widespread consternation.

The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 12 Review

What the heck is happening?! The Interest of Love restores suspense to the workplace drama genre, and holy cow, that big reveal is going to cause waves to reverberate through the whole of next week's double feature. I have a feeling that, like the rest of the series, this one will involve a lot of miscommunication and deception.

The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 12 Recap & Review

While Su-yeong may be trying to provoke a rise out of Jong-hyeon in order to get him to split up with her so that she may be with Sang-su without getting her lover in trouble, Gyeong-pil may be willing to take the fall for Sang-su by saying that he slept with Su-yeong to cover the truth. But you should probably take that hypothesis with a grain of salt.

Interesting, too, is the continuation of symbolism from the previous episode. The closure of the business where Jong-hyeon and Su-yeong used to hang out is a metaphor for how they feel about each other, just as Su-ring yeong's not fitting does. The Interest of Love is an absolute must-watch K-drama right now, even if you think you know what's going to happen!
